Police Practitioners seek ways of preventing crime in the communities they serve. These methods are usually developed into working programs that need careful planning and implementation. However good a crime prevention plan may be, inadequacies in the planning and implementation process may lead to failure. Therefore, any intervention plan for crime intervention requires the police practitioner to evaluate various aspects of the program. After identifying the problem, the police practitioner must consider factors such as; characteristics, skills, actions, resources, available support and cooperation, evidence, and implementation complexity.
